Okieday, so I've got some housesitting offers that I've got to turn down b/c SU's spring break does not align with mine. It makes me feel bad, but unfortunately that's the way it goes. There may be another update on that, soonish.
Quandary #1: Got a new car, what to name it? It's a silver Suzuki Esteem station wagon, so I'm thinking one of two things: S=Serenity, *OR* since it's a station wagon and my first car--a Saturn named Sega--was a station wagon, maybe the S=Sega and this is an upgrade to a Dreamcast. A Serenity (or a Dreamcast) with hand-crank windows, manual locks, and a manual transmission, but an upgrade nonetheless. Especially from that Grey Bastard of a Deathtrap.
Quandary #2: Okieday, so I've got this car and the ability to mill about again, and there's a lot that I want to talk to people about (not need, when I needed to talk was a long time ago, but I was stupid), and unfortunately it's not stuff I'm really comfortable talking about over the phone (it's about the plot--"nefarious term," as Henry James puts it--of my life o'er the last 75% of Aught-Eight), and I think I'm ready to talk about that. And no worries--I'm okay now, have been okay for a while, but it's all influenced my perspective on life, the universe, and everything. A lot had happened, a lot that I have told absolutely nobody for my usual mass of stupid, inane reasons of not wanting to bother or concern anybody. But I want to talk, if anybody cares to listen. And if not, I suppose that's okay, too. And if that's the case, maybe I'll just drive somewhere, for the heck of it.
Off to a meeting with Alf, then back here for a crap ton of writing-related work. Also, on an unrelated note, Kaylee likes to "back up" my computer.
( LOL! Isn't she cute? )
